A special team of 5 is required to manage the minted vendor programme manually across 4 countries. It is very time-consuming and labour-intensive to schedule jobs manually for minted vendors because of the constant follow-up on the vendor’s performance.
I worked with a project manager, team of developers and QA to create the user interface and experience design for this feature.
Upon getting the approval on the design concept which I have developed based on the project brief, I shared the first draft design with the team. Once they were happy with the design, I then created a clickable prototype, allowing the vendors to validate the designs and user flow for the Vendor’s growth plan and gather their feedback on the new features.
Next, I prepared some interview questions and tasks in Google Sheets and we conducted an online usability testing session via Google Meet and compiled the notes and feedback provided by the vendors during the usability testing.
While incorporating the feedback received from the usability testing, I also tweaked the UI to make it as minimalistic as possible, using different colour themes and benefit icons for each level. I presented the metrics for each level in a fun way to make it less intimidating for the vendors, too.
With this feature, all existing vendors will be segmented into tiers (levels 1 to 5 with 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest level), and the system will regulate job flow to them based on their levels.
With the gamification of this feature, the vendors will have a clear view of what is expected of them on a monthly basis according to their personalised Growth Plan. At the beginning of every month, vendors will receive a notification about their progress, i.e. levelled up, maintained at the same level, or failed because they couldn’t meet the metrics.
If the vendors have failed to meet the performance target on the 3rd week of the month, the system will flag negative metrics in red to catch the vendors' attention. The internal team will then reach out to the vendors and guide them on how to move forward.
All existing vendors are segmented into tiers (levels 1 to 5 with 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest level), and the system will regulate job flow to them based on their levels automatically.
Vendors must achieve the metrics set for them in order to maintain a level, which is clearly stated along with the benefits associated with each level.
Through this feature, the company managed to reduce 60% of the ops headcount while maintaining the same volume of vendors systematically.
I’ve always wanted to explore how to create micro animations with LottieFiles so I took this chance to learn how to do this right. After going through their courses, I was excited to turn these illustrations into animations 🙊.
I hope you will enjoy these animations as much as I have enjoyed creating them. I will be uploading a few more soon 🚀
